Robert Durst Faces Wrongful Death Suit

NBC News - October 16, 2015

The family of the missing first wife of millionaire murder suspect, Robert Durst, has taken steps towards filing a wrongful death lawsuit.

Durst’s wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst, disappeared under mysterious circumstances in 1982 and, although no body has ever been found, was declared legally dead in 2001. Her sibling, James McCormack, has taken steps to transfer the authority of Kathleen’s estate to himself in place of their 102-year-old-mother so that he can pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against Robert Durst.

Pursuing a wrongful death action, however, may prove to be an uphill battle as no body has ever been found and no conclusive evidence presented as to whether or not the death had been caused by Durst
