The jury has reached a verdict in the 2012 wrongful death of a newlywed couple killed while honeymooning at Fort Lauderdale, FL's Riverside Hotel. The jury awarded more than $24 million after finding the Riverside 15 percent responsible for the couple's death.

Michael and Alanna DeMella, who were expecting a child, were struck when a car driven by Rosa Kim at an excessive speed crashed through a cabana near the hotel's pool. The lawsuit was filed alleging that the hotel knew that drivers regularly drove faster than the posted speed limit near the hotel but failed to warn guests of the danger.
