Truck Company Sued For Wrongful Death

Mankato Free Press - December 09, 2015

The family of Brady John Schaffer, a repair garage employee, is suing the employers of the truck driver that caused his death. Schaffer, who was only 35, was killed when the tire of a dump truck rolled over his chest and part of his head at the Tire Associates repair shop he worked at.

The driver, 36-year-old Jason Kuelbs, maintains that he had no idea that Schaffer was still under the truck when he started driving. Schaffer’s family argues that although Kuelbs is, of course, responsible for his death that the trucker’s parent company, Leavenworth Silage Company of Sleepy Eye, also shares some of the blame.
